The Korean electronics giants Samsung have joined the ranks of 10-inch Netbook with their latest launch of NC10. May be Samsung is not as big as others in PC making but NC10 unarguably stands on the top of the ladder from others including, Eee PC 1000H, MSI Wind and Lenovo IdeaPad S10. It doesn’t offer anything extra in cookie-cutter specs from its competitors that include 1.6-GHz Intel Atom Processor, 1GB RAM and Window XP but NC10’s spacious and nicely-positioned keyboard and more than six hours battery life makes this system a lovable device in hand. Samsung NC10 isn’t the flashiest netbook one has ever seen but the smooth and rounded square edges of mirrored Samsung logo give the system a more professional look than the MSI Wind or the Eee PC 1000H manages to get. It reminds of Sony VAIO TT for its glowing blue and reddish orange status lights. The Samsung NC10 measures 10.3 x 7.3 x 1.2 inches and weighing 2.8 pounds (with its six-cell battery) which is very much similar to the size and weight to its rival 10-inch netbooks. It is about half an inch longer than Lenovo’s S10 but nearly of the same length as the MSI Wind and the Eee PC 1000H. The NC10 comes with the typical netbook ports, including 3 USB ports, a 3-in-1 memory card reader, mic and headphone jacks, a VGA port, and an Ethernet jack. NC10 lacks an ExpressCard slot for adding a mobile broadband modem card.
